Terrell, Roy was born on February 18, 1876 in Houston, Texas, United States. Son of Edwin Ruthven and Kate (Scurry) Terrell.

Graduate South Carolina. Military Academy, Charleston, South Carolina., 1897.

Career

Clerk general freight office M.K. & T. Railway Company, 1897-1899. Became connected with St. Louis&S.F.R.R. Company, 1899, successively soliciting freight agent, at Dallas, Texas, until 1907, traveling freight agent, commercial agent, general freight and passenger agent of one of subsidiary companies. Assistant general freight and passenger agent, Frisco System, at New Orleans, until 1916.

Continued with Louisiana and S. Texas properties of the road under receivership. Assistant to president New Orleans, Texas & Mexico Railway, 1916-1917. Vice president same road, 1917-1927, secretary, 1920-1927.

Vice president, general manager New Orleans Pontchartrain Bridge corporation since October 15, 1927.
