Studied at theological school, Echmiadzin Theological Seminary and Nereisyan Seminary in Tiflis.
1898-1899 worked in Baku oil fields. 1900-1907 military sendee in Tiflis. After demobilition worked in Tiflis municipal laboratory.
1902 helped organize underground printing press, publishing first Arm Social-Democratic newspaper "Proletariat”. 1907-1914 worked for Party newspaper "Days” in Baku. 1914 drafted into army.
At time of 1917 February Revol in Akhaltsikhe, where he founded a local Party organisation and was elected first chairman, Akhaltsikhe Soviet of Workers and Peasants’ Deputy. 1919-1920 in Arm, December 1920 appointed chairman, Kamarlin Rayon Revol Committee. 1921 chairman, Nor-Bayazet Revol Committee.
From 1922 chairman, Karaklis Executive Committee. 1924 chairman, Executive Committee, Arm People's Commissariat of Agriculture Then secretary, Arm Central Executive Committee and chairman, Gori Executive Committee.
1930-1937 secretary, Arm Central Executive Committee. 1927-1934 member. Arm Centr Control Commission. 1921-1935 member. Arm Central Executive Committee.
1922-1936 member. Transcaucasian Federation Central Executive Committee. Delegation at all congresses of Communist Party Arm and at three congresses of Transcaucasian Party organizations. Arrested by State Security organs.
