Career
Hauptsturmführer Rudolf Rott was awarded a posthumous Knight"s Cross in February 1945, for his actions while in command of the 1st Company, 11th Steamship Panzer Regiment Hermann von Salza, 11th Steamship Volunteer Panzergrenadier Division Nordland. He did not survive the war but was killed in action on 12 February 1945.
