Graduate realschule, Gotha, 1895. Studied Technology College, Ilmenau, and University of Charlottenburg, 1896-1899 and 1902-1903.
Career
Came to the United States, 1903, naturalized citizen, 1920. Assistant to William Stanley, Great Barrington, Massachusetts, 1904-1905. Designing engineer Western Electric Company, Chicago, 1905-1907.
With Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing corporation since 1907.
Appointed chief engineer, 1933, responsible for adequacy of company’s engineering and design work, covering all branches of the organization, also chairman educational committee, et cetera Inventor electrical devices covered by more than 250 United States and foreign patents.
