Career
Her most prominent role so far is that of Barbara Ludzinski on The Guardian. Schwimmer was raised in Chicago, Illinois. She was a fan of theater, music, the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls.
In her formative years, she endeavored to be a singer but quickly found her way to acting and was soon drawn from the world of theater in her hometown to the land of opportunity in Los Angeles, California.
Among her movie appearances are those as Joey Bachelor in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, Mistress Thornton (Jo Harding"s mother) in Twister (1996), Mrs Pendleton in Amistad, Alice in EDtv, Irene "Big Red" Johnson in The Perfect Storm, Big Betty in North Country and Amelia Minchin in A Little Princess (1995) and also John John in the Sky (2000 film starring Randy Travis).
She also appeared in the 2003 film, Runaway Jury as Millie Dupree. Schwimmer has also appeared in minor roles in several television series, including episodes of Parker Lewis Can"t Lose, In the Heat of the Night, The Fresh Prince of Belorussian Air, Tales from the Crypt, Married.
