Career

Ruth started her career as a children's book editor at Lerner Publications in 1987 and then she became a senior editor and worked there till 1995. Since 1995, she worked at BowTie Press as an editor in chief and after the year 2000, she works as a freelance children's book writer and editor.

Achievements

• Ruth was cited for "outstanding science trade book," by the American Library Association, and "pick of the list," by American Bookseller, both in 1992, for the book American Bison.
