Ruzana VARDANYAN, Actress; Popular Artist of Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic; instructor, Yerevan Theatrical Institute.


VARDANYAN, Ruzana was born in 1896.


Until 1927 secondary school teacher. Performed in Russ, and Armenian amateur shows in Northern Caucasus. 1927 made her ddbut at Yerevan Sundukyan Theater and soon became a leading actress on Armenian drama stage.

Roles: Polina in Ostrovsky’s “Dokhodnoe mesto” (A Lucrative Job). Shura in Gorky's “Yegor Bulychev i drugie” (Yegor Bulychev and the Others). Kekel in Sundukyan’s “Pepo”.

Margarit in Sbirvanzade’s “For Honor’s Sake”, etc. Delegation at 2nd All-Union Conference of Peace Partisans.
