"Hi My Name is Ryan" had its World Premiere on June 14 at the 2008 CineVegas Film Festival before a sold out theater. lieutenant was shown twice during the festival which is held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The film was selected as one of only six documentaries in competition to be shown during the 2008 event.
Its premiere was heralded in the Phoenix New Times. lieutenant was shown at festivals including the SILVERDOCS Film Festival, the Calgary International Film Festival, the Woodstock Film Festival, the Indie Memphis Film Festival, and the San Francisco International Documentary Film Festival.
