Career
He has appeared in the New York premiere of Box from Improbable Stage Company and Celebrities In Disgrace a short film produced by Bravo Sierra Productions based on the novella Celebrities In Disgrace by American author Elizabeth Searle. While attending East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) to play National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II American football, he became involved in theater after taking acting classes with Erma Duricko. Despite having had no prior acting experience, Castro quickly became involved in work on the ESU stage.
After getting cast in several mainstage productions with both the Theater and Music departments at ESU, he became a part of Hollow Tree Films a local film production company.
He played the lead role of "Malcolm" in the 2009 Hollow Tree Films production of The Road Home which was nominated for best feature film and best screenplay at the 2009 Pocono Mountains Film Festival. In December, 2012, he made his television debut in the Gossip Girl episode "The Revengers" as a police detective.
