Kenny played club soccer for California Odyssey before committing to University of California Santa Barbara, redshirting his freshman season before transferring to California State University, Sacramento the following season. In Hornets history Kenny ranks third all-time in shutouts and saves, and finished his collegiate career with the school’s fourth best goals against average.
During his college years Kenny also played several seasons for Fresno Fuego in the USL Premier Development League, leading them to a league title and a National Semi-Final appearance to be named Company-Defensive player of the year.
