Career

McCartan plays "Diggie" on the Disney Channel sitcom Liv and Maddie. McCartan has been dating actress and singer Dove Cameron since 2013. The two of them started the popular duet group, The Girl and the Dreamcatcher.

His father, Conn McCartan, is the principal at Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Achievements

• He was a 2011 Jimmy Award winner, the top honor given only to two students at the National High School Musical Theater Awards.
