Ryhor Chugayevich

Background

Ryhor Chugayevich was a descendant of a szlachta (gentry) family.

Education

In the 2nd year at the University he was granted a professorial scholarship for his outstanding achievements in studies.

Career

After graduating from the University, he was appointed an acting curator of the mineralogical room. In 1861 he was appointed a professor and the chair of technology where he lectured on analytical and organic chemistry, technology and conducted practical classes for students at a technical laboratory.

Achievements

• 1848 - a senior teacher of mathematics and physics at the 2nd gymnasium of Odessa.
