Ryōhei Miyamoto was born in 1916 in Shizuoka, Japan.
He graduated from the Fine Arts Section of Bunka Gakuin College in 1936.
In 1947 joined the Fujiwara Opera Troupe and made his debut in La Boheme and then played the role of Wolfram in Tannhauser for its first performance in Japan. Since then, works as a main baritone singer for this opera troupe.
