Briefly attended Tokyo Academy of Music and then proceeded to Italy for further studies at Santa Cecilia Academy of Music (1924) where Ryozo Okuda received vocal instruction from Professor Pietro. After graduating in 1929, went on to attend the Berlin Academy of Music (1933) after having won a silver medal and a citation at the International Music Concours held at Vienna (1932).
Career
Returning home was appointed assistant professor at Tokyo Girls Higher Normal School and professor at Yokohama National College of Music.
