He graduated from Commercial Department of Waseda University (1907) and later studied factory management at Pennsylvania University.
Career
He served with Mitsubishi Gomei Kaisha (Mitsubishi Unlimited Partnership) (1909) and later as director of Foreign Business Department of the head office of Mitsui Bank, manager of its New York Branch and chief of Securities Department of the head office. He became director of Kanegafuchi Spinning Company and a few other industrial companies and then became president of Kanegafuchi Diesel Industry Company.
