Woo, S. B. was born on August 13, 1937 in Shanghai, China. Son of C.K. and Kuo-Ying (Chang) Woo. came to the United States, 1955.


Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics summa cum laude, Georgetown College, Kentucky, 1956. Master of Science in Physics, Washington University, St. Louis, 1962. Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, Washington University, St. Louis, 1964.
