1925 sided with “New Opposition,” then Trotsky-Zinov’yevite Bloc. 1927 at 15th All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Congress expelled from Party as active member of Trotskyite opposition. 1930 re-admitted to the Party.
1935 for alleged anti-Party and anti-Soviet activities again expelled from the Party and arrested.
