Career
The film was released on 14 October 2011, in India and was a critical success. She has featured in commercials for Kit Kat, Vodafone, Sunsilk, Nescafe, as well as print campaigns for Johnson & Johnson, Westside and Amway. She made her Bollywood debut as Raaga in Dil Kabaddi (2008).
As a child, Azad performed with the theatre group Jana Natya Manch in their stage productions where she worked with Hashmi, Habib Tanvir, MK Raina, General Practice Deshpande and NK Sharma.
She also trained in dance forms like odissi, ballet, jazz, Latin as well as contemporary dance forms. Traveling with her Odissi guru, Smt.
Kiran Segal, she performed in and outside the country including England, Canada and Nepal. After schooling she landed a lead role in a short film Guroor for director Ishaan Nair which travelled to festivals in New York and Florence.
Azad moved to Mumbai from Delhi and here she featured in commercials.
She acted in a two man play directed by Makarand Deshpande staged at Prithvi Theatre. She made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with Anil Sharma"s Dil Kabaddi opposite Rahul Bose. She appeared in a leading role as Preity Senator in Y-Films Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge opposite newcomers Nishant Dahiya and Saqib Saleem.
Azad started her own theatre company "The Skins" in 2010 and directed her first play "Lovepuke" which opened at NCPA"s experimental theatre in September 2010.
Personal On 17 March 2013, Imaad Shah confirmed that Saba and he were in a live in relationship.
