Graduated from Law Department of Tokyo University in 1920.
Career
Entered Mitsui Bussan (Mitsui & Company) and served at Moji branch of its Coal Department. Later he became a part-time employee of Fuel Bureau of Commerce and Industry Ministry (1938), manager of San Francisco branch of Mitsui's Petroleum Department and director of Commercial Affairs Section (1939), then became acting director of Petroleum Department (1942), was transferred to Singapore (1942). Became a director of Fuel Department and director of General Affairs Department (1944), managing director of Kyodo Kigyo Company (1945), resigned from Mitsui Bussan (1947), assumed posts of representative director and president of General Bussan (1948).
