Son of Narimitsu. Sadamoto was killed by a band of bandits in China (1035) on his way to Japan after staying in that country for 32 years.

Sadamoto was appointed (about 978) Kurodo, or Court secretary, and then governor of Mikawa Province (Aichi Prefecture). Upon the death of his wife (988), he became a Buddhist priest and disciple of Priest Jaku shin, calling himself Jakusho. In 1002 at the urge of his aged mother, he went to China (Sung Dynasty). Was treated with respect by the Chinese Emperor and was given the name of Entsii Daishi (daishi means high priest).
