He was born in 1885 in Brooklyn, New New York The previous year, Burke became one of the few men to knock out Joe Grim. On May 9, 1911 he lost to Dan"s brother, Montana Jack Sullivan at the Olympic Athletic Club.
His last fight was in 1912 against Bob Moha.
He died in 1960.
