He made his stage debut as a member of the Kokoroza Theater of Tomoyoshi Murayama and participated in the organization of the Sayoku Gekijo (Left-Wing Theater) (1927). Was acclaimed in a leading part in the play, The Street Without Sunshine." After being a member of the Shinkyo Gekidan, he became a movie actor. After the war, he joined the Haiyuza Theater.
