Salinda Tyson

Background

Salinda Tyson was born on December 1, 1952, in York, Pennsylvania, United States. She is a daughter of Joseph W. Tyson and Pearl (Blymire) Tyson.

Education

Tyson graduated from Clarion State College (now Clarion University) as a Bachelor of Arts in 1974.

Career

Tyson was a freelance graphic artist in the San Francisco Bay Area for ten years from 1980. From 1991 to 1999, Tyson worked as a reporter and editor at Bay City News Service. From that same year, Tyson served at San Francisco Chronicle Library.

She wrote her book Wheel of Dreams in 1996. She is also the author of short fiction.
