Career
Born in Bangor, Maine, he moved to Taylors Falls, Minnesota Territory in 1851 and was in the lumber and merchant business. moved to the Town of Osceola, in Polk County, Wisconsin in 1862. served in the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1870 and was sheriff of Polk County, Wisconsin in 1877 and 1878. He also served in town government. He died in the Town of Osceola.
, Wisconsin donated land for a railroad and the area became a community: called Junction and later, Wisconsin.
