Reed was born in Indiana in 1901.

Career

He is believed to have had one sibling, a sister. She died, still married to Reed, in 1993. Reed became a salesman of radio equipment in 1940.

Reed lived with his family in various places around Colorado.

He founded in the late 1950s to early 1960s. Based in Golden, Colorado, the company produced drive-in speakers until the late 1970s.

A presumed five patents about drive-in speakers were filed in Reed"s name. He died in 1996, at age 95, in Orange, California.

The cause of death is unknown, but believed to be simply old age.

Reed died a month before his birthday.
