Admitted to bar, 1857. Practiced at Seymour, Connecticut, 1857-1860, New Haven, since 1860. Member Connecticut House of Representatives, 1859, 1869, 1876, 1877.

Recorder City Court, 1866-1869. 1st judge Court Common Pleas, 1 year. Corporate Counsel, 1873-1878.

Retired and managed his father’s large interests until latter’s death, 1893, when he succeeded to family estates. Democratic nominee for government of Connecticut, 1900. Home: New Haven, Connecticut Deceased.
