Practiced law at St. Louis, 1875-1880, Topeka, Kansas, 1880-1885, during which period also operated daily paper. Was secretary to Governor John P. St. John, major on his staff, clerk district and circuit courts, municipal judge and member Kansas legislature. In practice at New York, since 1895.
