Sandra Ingerman is the daughter of Lee Ingerman and Aaron Ingerman.
Sandra Ingerman studied at Sheepshead Bay High School. She also received a Master of Arts from California Institute of Integral Studies.
Sandra Ingerman has a background in counseling and a psychotherapy practice before changing her focus to the use of shamanism. Nowadays Sandra is a world-renowned teacher of shamanism. She is a marriage and family therapist, professional mental health counselor and a board-certified expert on traumatic stress. Ingerman teaches approximately forty workshops each year through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, maintains a Web site called Medicine for the Earth, and has written a number of books. Ingerman is also the presenter of eight audio programs produced by Sounds True, and she is the creator of the Transmutation App.
Sandra is known for gathering the global spiritual community together to perform powerful transformative ceremonies. Since the 1980’s thousands of people have healed from past and present traumas through the classic cross-cultural shamanic healing method Sandra teaches called Soul Retrieval.
Sandra was awarded the 2007 Peace Award from the Global Foundation for Integrative Medicine. She also was chosen as one of the Top 10 Spiritual Leaders of 2013 by Spirituality and Health Magazine.
