Education
Graduated from Kyoto University (1917) and entered the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce.
Career
Served as parliamentary vice-minister of the Ministry of Education and was elected for three terms to the House of Peers. Elected head of the township of Oiso, in Kanagawa Prefecture (1948) and served in various other civil capacities. Is a director of Maison Franco- Japonais.
