Instructor in chemistry Seoul National University, Suwon, Korea, 1948-1952. Professor EWHA Woman's University, Seoul, 1953-1966, chairman department chemistry, 1959-1966, director Research Institute, 1962-1966. With Korea Institute of Science & Technology, 1966-1981, vice president, 1968-1972, president Gumi, Korea, 1978-1981.

With Hanyang University, Seoul, since 1981, dean Graduate School, 1981-1985, president, 1985-1989, president emeritus, since 1989.
