Career
He is first time M.L.A. from Sardhana, Uttar Pradesh. He is one of the accused in the in 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots and was booked under the National Security Acting on 24 September 2013. On 7 September 2015, Som alleged that the Samajwadi Party and the Uttar Pradesh police were discriminating on religious grounds in their probe in the Janmasthami clashes, which he said was biased.
