Education
Sankaku Okuda studied under his uncle, Hinshu Shibata, then under Togai Ito for 11 years in Kyoto.
Career
He became a Confucian official of the Tsu Clan with Ito's recommendation. He made no mistakes in the 50 years in which he served four lords of the clan, who trusted him much.
