Career
He mostly played as a forward. Kolk"s former clubs include ADO Den Haag, South Carolina Heerenveen, RKC Waalwijk, Football Club Den Bosch, Excelsior, Football Club Zwolle, Vitesse Arnhem, 1. Football Club Union Berlin and NAC Breda.
Born in The Hague, Kolk"s official début as a professional was on 29 August 1999, when he played for ADO Den Haag.
lieutenant was in a home-match against NAC Breda. In his debut he scored his first goal, after one minute.
In the 2005-2006 season, when he played for Football Club Zwolle, he became top scorer of the Jupiler League with 19 goals. From 2007 to 2010, Kolk played for Vitesse.
In Arnhem he was considered one of the club"s key players due to his goal scoring record.
In July 2010, Kolk agreed to a three-year contract with 1. Football Club Union Berlin, playing in the 2. Bundesliga. In the 2010-2011 season, he made 17 appearances and scored four goals.
In the 2011-2012 season, Kolked played for NAC Breda on loan.
In 2013, Kolk returned to ADO Den Haag for the second time in his career. Having played for a relatively large number of different clubs, Kolk stated: "I am sort of the Dutch Christian Vieri."
Kolk also played in several Dutch national youth teams.
He was part of Louis van Gaal"s squad for the 2001 Fédération internationale de football association World Youth Championship in Argentina.
