She graduated from the University of Florida with a telecommunications degree.
She is a correspondent for Cable News Network and Cable News Network International based in Jerusalem starting August 2012, formerly in New Delhi. While a student there, she played on the women"s volleyball team, which made the Final Four during her last year. Sidner began her on-air reporting career at WUFT-television in Gainesville, Florida.
This was followed by stints at KFVS-television in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, WINK-television in Fort Myers, Florida and KDFW-television in Dallas, Texas.
At KDFW-television, she spent three years as a consumer reporter/anchor. At KDFW-television in Dallas she distinguished herself for reporting on the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.
In January 2004, Sidner joined TeleVision for YoU in Oakland, California, where she served as a weekend co-anchor of TeleVision for YoU Channel 2 News at 6 and The Ten O’Clock News. She also served as a weekday reporter for the station.
Currently, she is an international correspondent for Cable News Network, based in Jerusalem.
At Cable News Network, Sidner has reported on a wide range of subjects including the 2011 Libyan civil war, the launching of India"s first unmmaned lunar probe and the Mumbai terrorist attacks.
