Sarah Anderson was born on May 17, 1947 in London, England, United Kingdom. She is the daughter of John Murray, a stockbroker, and Gillian Mary (Drummond) Anderson.

Education

Sarah Anderson studied at the London School of Oriental and African Studies in London and received a degree in Chinese in 1977.

Career

In 1979 Sarah Anderson was the founder and owner of travel bookshop in London, England. In 1995 she published her first book "Anderson’s Travel Companion". In 1998 her book "The Virago Book of Spirituality" (1996) was published as "Heaven's Gate, Thinly Veiled". She also was a contributor to periodicals.

Achievements

• Sarah Anderson is best known as the owner of Travel Bookshop. Michael Palin chose her bookshop as his favourite shop. She is also the author of "Anderson’s Travel Companion" and "Heaven's Gate, Thinly Veiled".
