She spent ten years as a reporter at The Wall Street Journal in Paris, London, and New New York The author of War at the Wall Street Journal: Inside the Struggle to Control an American Business Empire (2010), she was banned from WSJ press conferences for not working on a "specific assignment", though Gawker.com speculated that her exile was motivated by the content of War at the Wall Street Journal. Prior to her journalism career, she took her degree from the University of Virginia.
