Studied at Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Prepared for the profession of a Teacher in Elementary Schools, at Freeman’s Endowed School, Wellingborough, and at Whiteland’s College, Chelsea. Took charge successively of the Derby Girls’ School, Great Windmill Saint, West.
Of Park Saint Girls’ School, Wellingborough, and of Holy Trinity School, Leicester.
Career
Was appointed to the New Training College of Saint Katharine’s, Tottenham, 1878, leaving it lor Newnham College, Cambridge, 1885. After the Cambridge course (Moral Science Honours) some few months were spent as Mistress of Method at Saint Mary's Hall, Cheltenham. One of a select committee appointed to inquire into the conditions of the training of pupil teachers, 1903.
