Career
Currently he is the Provincial President (Balochistan) and Central Vice President of PML (North). He is the chief of the pashtun Nasar tribe, who have many members in Pakistan and he commands a strong influence and respect in his native province of Balochistan. He is a close aide of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He was elected to the National Assembly again in 1997 and served as Minister for Railways from 1997 to 1999.
In the February 18, 2008 elections held in Pakistan, Mr. Nasar lost the election from Loralai District where allegations of massive rigging were made by independent election observers.
There were approximately 35000 unregistered votes cast against Mr. Nasar in that election by Pervez Musharraf"s provincial government of the time.
