Career
He opened Milk & Honey, a cocktail bar, in New York City’s Lower East Side in 1999. He championed the “bartender’s choice” option found on many cocktail menus, the use of jiggers to accurately measure out drinks, and the use of cucumber slices in water glasses. In May 2015, Petraske married journalist Georgette Moger.
He was found dead at their home in Hudson, New York three months later, on August 21, 2015.
