Career
After graduation,he taught at higher schools. Joined the Kinkodo Publishing House (1901) and later taught at his alma mater and other schools. He studied not only haiku but joruri and classics and wrote books on those subjects.
Wrote a history of haiku poetry, which was serially carried by the Teikoku Bungaku, magazine of his alma mater. Later he organized the Tsukuba Society of haiku poets.
