Joined firm of East. Doctorate. Sassoon and Company, doing business with China. Spent some years in China and was partner in the firm for several years. At death of late Elias David Sassoon, head of East. Doctorate. Sassoon and Company, he started his own firm and became agent of the David and Standard Mills and the leading cotton yarn merchant of Bombay.
Chairman of the Millowners’ Association, 1904-1905.
Sheriff of Bombay, 1905. Is a Government nominee on the Bombay Municipal Corporation and the Standing Committee.
Is the nominee of the Millowners’ Association on the Board of the Bombay Improvement Trust, and Director of several xniblic companies and on the committee of several charitable associations. Justice of the Peace and Honourable Magistrate.
Has firms in China and Japan, headquarters Bombay. Cartulary-register 1905. Justice of the Peace.
