On 8 April 2014, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Eco Asia University, Mongolia for his Environmental Services for mankind. His Couture Designs were selected by Canada"s high-end department stores Holt Renfrew, often compared to Barneys and Saks Fifth Avenue in the United States. Doctor Sikha started his campaign against global warming in 2007.
He started collecting messages of support for the environment on an eco-friendly silk cloth (one yard for each message) from several dignitaries and celebrities.
The silk cloth finally became 1.2 kilometers long with messages from approximately 1,263 people which included politicians, film personalities, professors, artists, scientists, musicians, and media personnel. The celebrities who supported his cause include Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan, Indian actor Abhishek Bachchan, Indian film actress Kangana Ranaut, Indian cricket player Kapil Development, former Mission Universe Sushmita Senator, Indian politician North.
