In 1925 entered Kangyo Ginko (Japan Hypothec Bank) and served successively as manager of its Tottori, Oita, Urawa, Sendai and Hiroshima branches and became managing director of Tohoku Denki Seitetsu Kaisha (Tohoku Electric & Iron Manufacturing Company) (since 1952).
