Career
He is the chairman of the select committee on the Lokpal bill in Rajya sabha during the Universal Postal Union II government. He is alumnus of Sainik School Rewa. Chaturvedi was born in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, to Baburam Chaturvedi.
In March 2010 he was removed from the post of Congress spokesperson while caught using abusive words against Union minister Sharad Pawar in a casual talk to a television reporter while camera was still on, for not controlling the price rise of food and agricultural items.
