Career
DeFreitas has been married to his former ATWT co-star Maura West (Carly Tenney) since January 22, 2000. The couple has five children—one from Maura"s previous marriage, Benjamin Crawford West Knight (born May 30, 1996), and four together: Joseph Peter DeFreitas (born March 29, 2000), Katherine Marie DeFreitas (born January 9, 2002), Basil John DeFreitas (born January 30, 2007), and Birdie West DeFreitas (born June 16, 2009). He, Joseph, and Katherine performed in a reading for new musical "Hazel" along with Judy Nazemetz, Zoe Calamar, Noah Meyers, and Jane Noseworthy.
This was performed alongside other musical "Inside Out".
