Scott Saint John

Career

Saint John was born into a musical family. Saint John began violin studies with Richard Lawrence in his home town at age 3, later studying viola. Saint John joined the Saint Lawrence String Quartet in September, 2006.

Achievements

• Saint John has won several Canadian and international competitions, including, in 1985, the Canadian Broadcasting Company Radio National Competition for Young Performers. In 1987, the Alexander Schneider Violin-Viola Competition in New New York And, in 1990, the Young Concert Artists auditions.

Membership

He is a member of the Saint Lawrence String Quartet (departing December, 2013) and on faculty at Stanford University, where he teaches violin and chamber music
