Sean Gerard McCann, also known as Sean John McCann, is a Canadian citizen who was one of four suspected members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with help from the BATF, following a two-month investigation that culminated in the attempted purchase of a Stinger missile in January 1990.
Career
McCann, 33 years old at the time of his arrest, was holidaying in Florida and staying in a trailer park in the southern portion of Palm Beach. The four men had paid $50,000 to an undercover Federal Bureau of Investigation agent after some of the men arranged to meet the man at a warehouse where he claimed to store stolen military equipment.
