Graduated from Waseda University (1925).
Career
Joined the editorial department of Asahi Shimbun (newspaper) and, then moved to Yanianashi Nichinichi. Later chairman of Japan Printers Association. Entering politics was elected to House of Representatives three times on a Liberal ticket. Was Labor Minister in 3rd Yoshida Cabinet (1949), but resigned soon after in favor of Shigeru Hori.
