He graduated from Waseda University in 1909. Also he studied in Britain.
Career
He worked as reporter for the Tokyo Mainichi and Asahi Shimbun. He edited magazines including Toho Jiron and Gakan. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 1920. He became secretary-general of the wartime Imperial Rule Assistance Association in 1940.
He committed suicide after a disagreement with Prime Minister Hideki Tojo.

He belonged subsequently to the Kenseikai and then Minseuo parties. He left the latter party in 1930.
