Seikichi Ujiie became director (1928), vice-president (1933) and then president of Shichiju-shichi (Seventy-seventh) Bank. Appointed chairman of the same bank (1941) and later was reappointed president (1948).
He served also as auditor of Miyagi Trading Company, senior managing director of Sendai Kogyo Ginko (Sendai Industrial Bank), president of Miyagi Bank member of Sendai Chamber of Commerce & Industry and member of Miyagi Prefectural Public Safety Commission. Elected to House of Peers (1936).
Held additional posts of director of Saito Hoonkai (Saito Charity Foundation) and official of a few other industrial organizations.
